The Nairobi Senator decided that he needed an expensive phone to go with his array of gold rings, chains and high end haute couture. His latest acquisition is a high end semi-vintage Vertu Phone inlaid with gold.
The 2008 model is estimated to cost around 1.1 million shillings. It is more of a style statement that it is of functionality! The little expensive thing does not even have a camera. Read More about it here

Tafadhali Share na marafiki story hii Yes, this is the “.blogspot.com” blog that I was talking about. Djchoka blog is one of the well renowned entertainment blogs in Tanzania, has a lot of followers and fans. But with the basic blogger template, there is no Photo compression on the homepage, too many posts on the homepage, the page load is hell on this blog. It lacks design… Im not going to go deep into this, because like I said I don’t like getting into the habit of reviewing “.blogspot.com” blogs.
4. teamtz.com
Teemtz or is it teentz, im yet to find out, but both domains point to the same website, Brand-wise this is really confusing, started out as teentz.com, (I’m guess they realized they aren’t teens no more) and changed there brand or domain to teamtz.com. This website well, tries to do a lot, its definitely a entertainment blog, but also tries to be a social network (yes tries), forum, video website, and a lot of other non related stuff. It was supposed to be at the number 2 spot but… we are going to have to bump it down for lack of specificity. The website apparently gets many of its hits because it is a subsidiary website from a famous Radio station in Tanzania “clouds fm”, And after much research I found more subsidiary websites from “clouds fm”, all have the same design, functionality, look, feel… everything, i.e the clouds fm’s main website, www.cloudsfm.co and G5click www.g5click.com.
dartalk, lands number 3, it doesnt have that much unique content, a basic blog template nothing fancy about it either. Though i must say, the domain would have really fitted a sort of forum, dartalk.com would have been perfect for that (just my opinion). Registered in 2008, but its posts go back as far as just 2012, i don’t know what the issue was there too.
2. gongamx.com
Now atleast we have “entertainment blog standards” here, not much going on, on this website but its clear it focuses on entertainment updates, gossip. A basic blog format, I’m not a huge fan of the dark themed websites, but here it blends in well with the brand colors. Looks like it was registered in 2010, but its posts don’t go back as far, post-wise the website is barely a couple months old. So I don’t know if it was a re-do or if it was some other issue. Gongamx grabs the number 2 spot.

Ofcourse, bongo5 grabs the number one spot, like a rabbit In a turtle’s race, leaving all the other websites very far in this category. Bongo5 puts in the work that an entertainment and gossip website is supposed to put in, reports the news on time and first, has a lot of content, and probably repeating this but Bongo5 is one of the first websites in East Africa, dating as far back as 2006. A better review of it here.
